About the role

We're hiring broadly for a Member of Technical Staff to do excellent technical work in a high-stakes problem space (genomics, rare disease, clinical data, applied AI).

People in this role have experience working on things like:

• Building and improving AI systems that propose candidate variants and diagnoses from raw sequencing data and clinical phenotype
• Evaluating model output against the published genetics literature, and being rigorous about the difference between a confirmed match and a coincidental one
• Working directly with collaborating clinicians and researchers to source ground truth, resolve ambiguous cases, and follow up on what the model gets wrong
• Building internal tooling, data pipelines, and infrastructure to make all of the above faster and less manual

You may be a good fit if you:

• Have a passion for our mission
• Exhibit a strong software engineering, ML, or computational biology background
• Have some familiarity with genomics, clinical genetics, or working with real-world biological/clinical data
• Are able to be productive in small, fast-moving, collaborative teams

Strong candidates may also have:

• Experience with LLMs or agentic AI systems, especially evaluating or improving their reliability
• A research background in genetics, genomics, computational biology, or a related field
• Experience translating ambiguous, real-world data problems into clear evaluation frameworks
• Experience authoring research papers in machine learning, genomics, or computational biology
